Clem Bason is the President of the Hotwire Group, where he is responsible for overseeing operations for Hotwire® and CarRentals.com™
Clem joined Hotwire as Vice President of Hotel Supplier Relations in February 2006, bringing deep experience in business strategy and partnership development. Clem also served as Vice President of Merchandising in charge of retailing and creative direction for the website.
Prior to Hotwire, Clem led Gap Brand's Strategy and Business Development Group, supervising strategic planning and new business development. Clem also spent five years with McKinsey & Co., managing engagements primarily for retail, consumer goods, and online clients in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Clem received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the Haas School at the University of California at Berkeley.
Dhiren Fonseca Chief Commercial Officer
Expedia, Inc.
Dhiren Fonseca is the Chief Commercial Officer of Expedia, Inc., the world's largest online travel company. In this role, Fonseca is responsible for building and managing corporate-level supply and commercial relationships between each of the businesses within the Expedia, Inc. portfolio and some of the travel industry's most notable supplier brands. He also acts as a principle advisor to the Chairman and CEO on the strategic initiatives of Expedia, Inc. and its portfolio of travel brands.
Previously, Fonseca served as the co-President of Expedia's global supply organization, where he led the company's global supply strategy and the team responsible for managing the company's relationships with nearly 150,000 hotels, hundreds of airlines and thousands of other travel suppliers worldwide. Prior to assuming this role in 2009, Fonseca served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, focusing on corporate strategy and worldwide mergers and acquisitions. During his corporate development tenure, he led the acquisition and integration of 15 companies by Expedia, and drove the company's long-term corporate strategy.
Prior to Expedia, Fonseca was a longtime Microsoft employee, helping found Expedia.com as part of the management team at Microsoft that brought the company to life in 1995.
Rob Greyber President, Egencia
Rob Greyber serves as President of Egencia, and is responsible for setting corporate strategy and overseeing global operations. Prior to being named President, he served as Egencia's Senior Vice President, North America.
Greyber joined Expedia, Inc. in 2004 as Vice President, Expedia® Partner Services Group, and was responsible for all aspects of Expedia's relationships with airline partners in North America.
Prior to Expedia, Greyber served as Vice President for a venture-backed software company based in San Francisco. Before that, he served in senior management roles at Scient Corporation, leading numerous strategy and technology client engagements. At Scient, he was responsible for leading the team that designed and engineered the initial web and operating infrastructure for Hotwire.com, now a subsidiary of Expedia, Inc.
Prior to Scient, Greyber was an Associate with Deutsche Bank's Mergers and Acquisitions group based in Hong Kong, and began his career with Electronic Data Systems Corporation.
Greyber holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Accounting, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in English Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Henrik Kjellberg President, Expedia Affiliate Network
Henrik Kjellberg is President of Expedia® Affiliate Network, providing private label booking solutions for travel suppliers looking to enhance and extend their product offerings, and grow ancillary revenue.
Previously, Kjellberg led Expedia Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for marketing the Expedia and hotels.com® points of sale in APAC; China’s eLong.com™; and Expedia’s private label distribution business, Worldwide Travel Exchange (WWTE®).
Kjellberg joined Expedia in 2001, and became responsible for the Expedia Europe lodging team. In addition, he led the development of the merchant car and destination services business in Europe, and played an instrumental role in Expedia’s expansion of travel supply within Europe. He also served as Senior Vice President of International Lodging and Destination Services for Expedia® Partner Services Group, led the launch of the Expedia brand in Holland and Italy, and coordinated the European roll out of WWTE.
Prior to joining Expedia, Kjellberg led the E-commerce division for Spray, a leading Swedish Internet portal. He also worked for Procter & Gamble Nordic in the Sales and Marketing division.
Kjellberg holds a Master of Science in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. Kjellberg has been a member of the eLong Board of Directors since October 2005.
Edmond Mesrobian Chief Technology Officer
Edmond Mesrobian serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Expedia, Inc., where he is responsible for defining, developing and executing the global technology strategy across the Expedia, Inc brands. In this role, Mesrobian works closely with business leaders and the Technology Leadership Council to plan ongoing innovations for the company's continued success.
Mesrobian has more than 20 years' experience in the technology sector, having served as CTO for several global companies. Most recently he acted as the Chief Technology Officer for Real Networks, prior to joining Expedia in January 2011.
Mesrobian holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Tucker Moodey Head of Customer Operations
Tucker Moodey leads the Global Customer Operations team. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of North American Customer Operations at Expedia, and during his two years in the role, improved vendor relationships; drove sales effectiveness and service efficiency, and improved tools.
Prior to Expedia, Moodey worked at AT&T Wireless where he ran Customer Services and Distribution and Sales Operations. His other experiences include Kraft Foods in Chicago, managing portfolios of food products like Miracle Whip, Kraft Barbeque Sauce, Kraft Salad Dressing, and Parkay Margarine. Moodey also spent time at Leo Burnett Advertising working on the Procter and Gamble business.
David Roche President, Global Lodging Group
David Roche is the President of the Global Lodging Group for the Expedia, Inc. group of companies. In this role, Roche leads the teams responsible for delivering the global strategy for the Hotels.com Worldwide and Venere.com brands; in addition to the Lodging Partner Services organization, which serves the more than 145,000 hotels offered across all the Expedia, Inc. group brands and sites worldwide.
Most recently Roche served as the President of the Hotels.com Worldwide brand. During his tenure with the Expedia, Inc. group, he has been instrumental in leading the Hotels.com brand and Expedia Distribution businesses in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, during which time he drove the expansion of the Hotels.com brand from a handful of sites to what is today a wholly global travel brand operating sites in more than 60 countries and over 30 languages.
Prior to joining Expedia in late 2003, Roche founded companies in both the marketing and technology spheres.
Roche holds a degree in Mathematics and English from Trinity College Dublin, an MBA from INSEAD, speaks French and Greek and enjoys composing and playing jazz.
Connie Symes Head of Human Resources
Connie Symes is Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Expedia, Inc., the world's leading online travel company. In this position, she is responsible for global Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management.
Prior to joining Expedia in 2005, Symes was the Senior Vice President of Operations for Spheris Corporation, the second largest national outsource transcription service in America. She joined Spheris during its startup stage, quickly moving into a key strategic role on the senior management team. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at LabCorp and the City of Safety Harbor in Florida.
An advocate for EEO, diversity and employee initiatives, Symes has helped to increase employee satisfaction and improve operational efficiency in each of the companies she has served. Her accomplishments include developing a 24/7 HR support system to address employee needs, driving aggressive hiring and retention programs to build employee bench strength, and establishing affirmative action plans which distinguished her companies as leaders in their industries.
Symes is a graduate of the University of South Florida, Tampa, with a B.S. in HR Management.
